Why did we appoint EEFIS?

Being in a relatively high fire risk industry and having already had one unfortunate significant fire based claim, we were initial content with the relationship and service our current broker had provided for over 25 years. However, premium trends continued to rise even in the light of reduced claims as a direct result of our investment and commitment to health and safety issues leading us to explore the arrangements set up by EEF purely for the benefit of it’s members. EEFIS’s insurance principals surveyed our business enabling them to provide an extremely competitive bespoke quote which clearly reflected our commitment to risk awareness and reduction. The proposal, linked with a service charter and a price stability clause, also recommended enhancements to our cover which had been omitted by our previous broker.

The commitment of the EEFIS insurance panel clearly became apparent, as several household name insurers who had previously either declined to quote or were uncompetitive provided EEFIS with exclusive competitive proposals.

Having made the difficult decision to move away from our long standing broker and appoint EEFIS, the continued communication, service and professionalism, combined with our continuing focused in house risk management, has increased the confidence that we made the right decision.
